Vinous 92 pts

The 2023 Sénéjac has a somehow 'distant' bouquet that requires aeration to open up, with graphite/pencil shavings littered over the light black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a bright, slightly bitter entry that at least has decent tension. It is not a powerful Haut-Médoc—quite linear, strict and classical in style. This may end up at the top of my banded score.

Wine Advocate 91 pts

A blend based on 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2023 Sénéjac exhibits notes of dark berries, red cherries and pipe tobacco, followed by a medium to full-bodied, lively and fleshy palate that’s bright, supple and charming. It’s a strong effort.

James Suckling 90 pts

This shows structure and finesse with a dusty tannin texture. Medium to full-bodied with plenty of black fruit and a creamy aftertaste. A touch of lightness on the finish.
