As to the red, the 2021 Clos Marsalette has lots of red currants, hints of blue fruits, tobacco, and leafy herbs to go with a medium-bodied, round, nicely textured style on the palate. It has ripe tannins, terrific purity, and just a classy, balanced, satisfying style.

Decanter 92

Lovely raspberry and herbal scents on the nose. Supple and generously fruited, the tannins are juicy and fine and this really gives some crushed stone nuances and lingering liquorice spice that rests on the palate. It's linear and defined with nice clarity of flavour, balance and sappy texture. Driving and persistent - still quite a lot of tension here, accentuated by the spiced core, but there's freshness throughout giving such mass appeal.

Vinous 90-92

The 2021 Clos Marsalette is attractive and nicely spiced, all in a mid-weight style that will offer fine near and medium-term drinking. The aromatics are quite pretty. Crushed red berry fruit, mint, spice, sage and lavender are all laced together. There's lovely freshness and fine balance here.

Clos Marsalette 馬薩雷特由Francis Boutemy 于2002年創立。Francis Boutemy 在波爾多已經擁有豐富的經驗，因為他擁有鄰近的 Chateau Haut Lagrange。實際上，Francis Boutemy 來自一個葡萄酒家族，他的祖父 Jacques Guillemaud 既是酒商，又是同樣位於 Pessac Leognan 的Chateau Larrivet HautBrion 的所有者。

Clos Marsalette 的葡萄園分佈在 Martillac 地區由 Garonne 沖積形成的圓丘上，占地面積為 6.26 公頃。葡萄園中的土壤由源於中新世和上新世時期（500萬~1500萬年前）的海洋沉積物形成的砂質泥灰岩、淺黃褐色沙土和黏土組成。葡萄園中種植的紅葡萄品種有赤霞珠（Cabernet Sauvignon）、梅洛（Merlot）和品麗珠（Cabernet Franc），面積為5.46公頃；白葡萄品種有長相思（Sauvignon Blanc）和賽美蓉（Semilion)，面積為0.8公頃。這些葡萄樹的平均樹齡為16年。葡萄園會對葡萄樹進行修剪枝葉和疏花疏果，嚴格控制葡萄的產量。
