2015 is considered a great vintage for botrytis wines, with moderate moisture, warm weather at the end of summer that favored good acidity, and alternations of rainy seasons and dry heat to achieve optimal botrytis effects. Gorgeous and tangy bouquet, with clear notes of honey, vanilla and even saffron. Its exquisite and delicate flavor has not diminished at all over the years. The acidity is just right in balance with the sweetness. , fig and orange flavors combined with a slight nutty aftertaste. The taste surrounds the entire mouth, leaving a real fragrance on the teeth and cheeks. It is indeed a product of Chateau Dijin! !
【Robert Parker 98+pts】
The 2005 d'Yquem continues to drink beautifully today, evoking aromas of honey, saffron, vanilla pod, apricot, jasmine and orange peel. Full-bodied, sensual and juicy, it's medium to full-bodied, with a seamless texture and a perfectly balanced palate, finishing fruity and racy. Although still a little closed and in a rather discreet phase, it has magnificent aging potential, and readers with bottles in their cellars should leave them to mature for 10 to 20 years.
【James Suckling 95pts】
What an incredible nose of flowers, honey, spices such as clove, and sandalwood. With time, decadent aromas of apple tart and crumble develop. Full and very round on the palate, this is medium sweet with a velvety texture. Flavors of honey, apple and pear tart appear on the long finish. This is so beautiful, hard not to drink now but will greatly improve with more time. 140 grams of RS.
[Chateau d'Yquem - the most famous botrytis sweet wine winery]
Chateau d'Yquem is located on the hills of Sauternes, a famous botrytis sweet white wine producing area in the south of Bordeaux. It is adjacent to Premier Crus Classes, such as Chateau Guiraud, Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey and Chateau Rieussec et al. The word Aighelm originally originated from the Germanic word Aighelm in the 10th century, which means "the person with a pointed helmet". It is one of the oldest wineries in Bordeaux. Originally owned by Eleanor of Aquitaine. In 1137 Eleanor married King Louis VII of France, Louis Capet. The marriage lasted only 15 years before it collapsed. In 1154, Eleanor remarried to King Henry II of England, and the Djinn territory subsequently belonged to the British royal family. It was not until 1453 that he returned to France after the Hundred Years' War between England and France.
In 1593, Lady Jaques Sauvage of Dikin, a descendant of the noble family, was granted the title of Dikin territory. At that time, grapes were already being planted at Dijin Winery and the surrounding manors, and sweet wine was made from late-harvest grapes. The Sauvage family built Chateau d'Yquem and successively acquired the surrounding vineyards. Chateau d'Yquem has a history of more than 400 years and continues to this day. The Sauvage family has carefully managed the vast winery from generation to generation. In 1785, Jaques Sauvage married Luis Amedee, and Chateau de Lur Saluces belonged to the de Lur Saluces family. Three years after the wedding, her husband unfortunately passed away, and Jaques took over the management of the family business. The most splendid history of opening up the winery was widely appreciated by the world's most famous wine connoisseurs, including Thomas Jefferson, the founding father of the United States and the third president of the United States. Jaques Sauvage, the leader of the family, reached its peak during the French Revolution. Many royal nobles died in the revolution. She not only saved the manor, but also made the winery develop more gloriously. Jaques Sauvage passed away in 1851, and four years later came the famous 1855 Classifications of Bordeaux. Chateau d'Yquem was the only one to receive the "Premier Cru Superieur" in the classification, with "French Bordeaux white sweet wine" Known as the "Emperor of Wine". This is also the highest praise for Mrs. Dijin’s lifelong achievements in managing the winery. European royal nobles, relatives of the Russian emperor, and Japanese royal family all spent huge sums of money to buy wine.
