100% 手工採摘並在葡萄園內進行細緻的人工分選。隨後，葡萄被運送至釀酒廠，放入冷房過夜，冷卻至 4°C，第二天再進行壓榨。Chardonnay採用整串壓榨方式在不鏽鋼/木桶發酵，隨後連同酒泥轉移至法國橡木大桶中繼續熟成，其中 15% 為新桶，其餘為中性桶。

帶有白桃、油桃等核果的豐滿氣息，伴著一絲葡萄柚和清淡的柑橘調以及檸檬皮的風味。入口緊致集中，酸度明亮而帶有鹹鮮感，口感細膩順滑，奶油般的圓潤質地在中段尤為明顯，香料層次豐富。整體風格溫和易飲，年輕時已展現親和力，同時具備優秀的陳年潛力。餘韻悠長，礦物感十足。

An even split of upper and lower Yarra fruit; both estate grown and from growers. Less mlf than last year. Smells fleshy with aromas of stone fruits, together with a little pink grapefruit and light citrus notes. It's both approachable and gentle, even as a young wine, but the balance for drinking now or cellaring in the short to medium term is absolutely spot on.

A fresh, compact bottling, with aromas of lemon pith, grapefruit, chalk and apple blossoms. The palate is tight and focused, with densely packed fruit and a fine line of acidity that drives a long, mineral finish. Generous and delicious.

The 2024 Chardonnay is gentler than the powerful single-vineyard wine; this cuvée is blessed with a creamy mid-palate, bright/saline acidity, and a profusion of spices. Not as complex, but it's a lovely wine.

Giant Steps的故事始於1997年，創始人Phil Sexton原是一位來自瑪格麗特河的啤酒釀造先驅，但他對葡萄酒的熱愛驅使他來到雅拉穀，尋找能夠種植出純淨優雅的黑皮諾（Pinot Noir）和夏多內（Chardonnay）的理想之地。

Phil不僅是釀酒師，更是一名狂熱的爵士樂迷。他以爵士樂巨匠John Coltrane的經典專輯《Giant Steps》為酒莊命名，期望酒莊能像這張專輯一樣，在葡萄酒的世界中走出革命性的「巨人腳步」。

2003年，釀酒師Steve Flamsteed加入，與Phil一起開啟了單一園（Single Vineyard）的釀造計畫，專注於表達雅拉穀不同地塊的風土個性。2021年，才華橫溢的Mel Chester接任釀酒與葡萄栽培總監，帶領酒莊邁向新的高峰。注重葡萄精選，致力於使高柏麗酒莊葡萄酒回歸至20世紀初的品質與形象，他為該酒莊的風格與聲譽建立了新的里程碑。
