The 2016 Branas Grand Poujeaux has adelightful bouquet of brambly red berry fruit laced with damp loamy aromas, theoak here neatly enmeshed. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins,brown spices liberally sprinkled over the red berry fruit and a satisfyingsense of precision on the finish. A very fine, serious Moulis that comes highlyrecommended. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting.

【Chateau Poujeaux 】

Chateau Poujeaux 是波爾多超級明星酒莊，也曾經是公認的中級莊“三傑”之一！恰逢2016波爾多五星世紀大年，酒莊再創佳作，魅力非凡，不容錯過！英國知名葡萄酒大師 Clive Coates MW 在其著作《佳釀：波爾多鼎級酒莊及其葡萄酒》中記載了一件趣事：有一次，法國總統在愛麗舍宮舉行晚宴，拉菲酒莊的莊主埃利男爵也有赴宴。宴會過後，男爵說：“感謝總統閣下選用我的1953年份拉菲，我深感榮幸”。不料，總統卻告訴他：“其實，那是Chateau Poujeaux。” 這段軼事足以說明 Poujeaux 的優異品質！在2003年的中級莊修訂中，Chateau Poujeaux 被列為 Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel（特等中級莊），雖然該 “特等” 稱號到2007年之後隨著不斷的爭議而被取締，但至今眾多酒評家和酒商均認為 Chateau Poujeaux 是中級莊的表率者之一。

2010年，重新引入了嚴格修訂的Cru Bourgeois分類制度，該制度沒有等級之分。因此，普捷酒莊 Chateau Poujeaux 和其它五個享有Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel的酒莊共同組成了獨立於新的分類制度之外，名為Les Exceptionnels的組織。
