Champagne Barons de Rothschild

The Rothschild family is the first family in the wine industry. In addition to the famous Chateau Lafite and Chateau Mouton, its well-known wineries include Chateau Clerc Milon, Chateau d'Armailhac, Chateau Clarke and Chateau Rieussec. With the family's five-arrow logo, they have expanded into various New and Old World wine-producing regions and have often won high scores from international wine magazines and awards at wine shows.

History and Heritage

The Rothschild family's winemaking history can be traced back to the 19th century, starting with the family's investment in the Bordeaux region of France. The family's winemaking history is based on the acquisition of famous Bordeaux wineries. For example, in 1868, the family acquired the world's top Château Lafite Rothschild, making it an important milestone in the Rothschild family's rise to fame. Subsequently, the family acquired Château Mouton Rothschild in 1922, further consolidating its dominance in Bordeaux and the wine industry. These wineries are not only a symbol of the family's wealth, but also a dream icon in the minds of wine lovers around the world.

The Rothschild family's winemaking philosophy has always revolved around the two core values of "excellent quality" and "respect for tradition". They extended this concept to the brewing process of every bottle of wine, and established a century-long winemaking reputation with a spirit of excellence. This spirit also laid the foundation for their entry into the champagne industry.

Adhering to the Rothschild family's philosophy - "Unity, Integrity, Diligence"

Solidarity: Work with other family wineries and jointly decide on the family's major directions. In addition, they also hope to live in harmony with all stakeholders, for example: they sign long-term and automatically renewable contracts with fruit growers, and the two sides constantly exchange experiences in grape cultivation and terroir research to achieve a win-win situation.

Integrity: Respect the local terroir, implement the traditional style of Champagne, and minimize the use of pesticides.

Diligence: Committed to producing high-quality wines. From grape planting to brewing, no detail is missed.

Champagne Barons de Rothschild's champagnes are mainly based on Chardonnay, which gives champagne its freshness, finesse and elegance. To ensure the quality of Chardonnay, their grapes mainly come from the most outstanding Chardonnay producing area in Champagne - Côte des Blancs. Côte des Blancs is the most important Chardonnay producing area in Champagne. The soil in the area is mainly rich in chalk, which provides excellent drainage and gives the grapes excellent mineral flavor and refreshing acidity. The family obtains grapes from the following Grand Cru villages (Avize, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger).

Although the brand is mainly based on Chardonnay, a small amount of Pinot Noir grown in Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne is used in the Rosé or Brut blend. Pinot Noir from these regions helps to enhance the structure and fruitiness of Champagne.

Barons de Rothschild Brut Rose NV

This rose champagne is blended with 8% Pinot Noir and 92% Chardonnay. The grapes are all from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, and the quality is guaranteed. This is a refreshing style with rich fruit flavors, including strawberry and cherry. The delicate creamy bubbles give the wine a dense texture and a long aftertaste.
