【阿尔伯特·波内尔】
Pierre-Lazare Ponnelle founded his own winery in 1870. He collaborated with Louis Pasteur, a French microbiologist who owns the "father of wine." Currently, the family’s father-son stallions Albert Ponnelle and Louis Ponnelle run the brand, and are responsible for the vineyard and cellar work. In addition to having vineyards in several regions within Cote de Beaune, grapes have been purchased from Cotes de Nuits fruit farmers for wine
【Chassagne-Montrachet】
Chassagne-Montrachet is a village in the Cote de Beaune sub-region, founded in 1937. The production ratio of red and white wine in the region is roughly 35:65. Chassagne-Montrachet white wine is more famous historically, with a significant increase in white wine production in the late 20th century. However, many of the recent plantings have been in flatter areas with more fertile soils. Lighter wines are often made from these locations.
The soil around the commune contains a large amount of limestone. This is especially true on the slopes of the Côte d'Or, the 45-kilometer (27-mile) limestone cliffs from Dijon to Santenay. However, there are clear differences between the vineyard sites south of the village of Chassagne-Montrachet and those to the north. In the south, they have higher concentrations of limestone marl and red gravel – soils more suitable for Pinot Noir. In the north, harder marl gives way to softer, smaller limestone structures; The climate around Chassagne-Montrachet is continental, with warm and dry summers and extended cool winters. Spring comes earlier than in places like Chablis in northern Burgundy. Despite this, the commune’s viticulturalists had to contend with cold spring mornings and the risk of frost damage to the vines.
