【Bread & Butter Wines】
Founded in 2010, Bread & Butter is a relatively new winery headquartered in Napa Valley, founded by winemaker Linda Trotta and her team under WX Brands. The winery is centered around the concept of "simple and pure", focusing on producing classic California wines that are easy-going and approachable. At Bread & Butter, we believe good things shouldn’t be complicated, and that goes for wine too. The name “Bread & Butter” symbolizes the simple, good things in life and just like their wines, aims to provide consumers with the “essentials” of everyday life.

Bread & Butter Wines uses a combination of traditional and modern winemaking techniques, focusing on preserving the natural flavor of the grapes while pursuing balance and complexity in taste. The grapes are hand-picked at optimal ripeness, ensuring fruit integrity and flavor concentration. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, depending on the grape variety and style. Some of the Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon are fermented in French oak barrels to add complexity and depth. The wine is aged in French and American oak barrels for a period that varies depending on the variety and style, but typically ranges between 6 and 12 months. The use of oak barrels adds vanilla, toasted and spice flavors to the wine. The wine is bottled unfiltered or lightly filtered to preserve its natural flavor and aroma.

The winery’s winemaking team is led by winemaker Linda Trotta, a second-generation Italian-American whose winemaking career spans more than three decades and four continents. After working at wineries in Sonoma Valley, Washington state, and elsewhere, Linda returned to California and joined the Bread & Butter Wines family. She firmly believes that “good wine is wine you enjoy,” and uses that mentality to create high-quality, pure, delicious wines for Bread & Butter that people love and respect. Linda is an award-winning winemaker, having received the 2018 North Bay Business Journal Napa Valley Winemaker of the Year Award for her skills, as well as many other prestigious honors.
