This wine is remarkably approachable and smooth, displaying an alluring garnet hue. Fruit notes evolve from initial red berries (raspberry) to black fruits, blackberry, black plum, plum, clove, leather, smokiness, black tea, with hints of chocolate in the finish. Remarkably smooth, with a 5-7 second lingering aftertaste. Medium tannins and body, soft yet possessing a solid structure.
Wine enthusiasts are well acquainted with the Japanese manga series Drops of God. In the final episode of its television adaptation, Château Le Puy 2003 from Francs Côtes de Bordeaux was hailed as the “Divine Drop”, celebrated for having employed not a single drop of pesticide in its 400-year history. This miraculous wine, crafted through the most natural methods, saw its sales soar following the drama's broadcast. prompting many wine and manga enthusiasts to speculate that this very wine might be chosen as the ‘Divine Drop’ in the manga's future conclusion. This speculation sent the wine's popularity soaring, with some Japanese fans even flying to France specifically to purchase it. While delighted by his product's popularity, estate owner Jean-Pierre Amoretu expressed concern that inflated prices might undermine the enjoyment of wine enthusiasts.

The Legendary Drops of God
The legendary final disciple from the Japanese manga “Drops of God” has finally been revealed to be none other than – Château Le Puy. Château Le Puy caused a tremendous sensation in the wine world several years ago. After being extensively featured in the manga “Drops of God”, the adapted television series directly selected the 2003 Le Puy as the “Final Apostle”. sending shockwaves across the globe and triggering a buying frenzy in Asian markets. Some devoted enthusiasts even flew to Bordeaux, France, solely to procure the wines featured in the manga.
Château Le Puy is a secluded estate on Bordeaux's Right Bank, employing organic and biodynamic farming methods. Grapes are harvested by hand, with an average of 30% discarded to guarantee flawless quality. Eschewing modern conveniences, the estate adheres strictly to traditional winemaking methods. No artificial yeasts or added sugars are employed during fermentation. Premium corks from the water oak are used, and bottles are sealed by hand with traditional waxing, allowing only natural fermentation to occur. Furthermore, ageing occurs in barrels over fifty years old, imparting a pure, natural character devoid of unnecessary woodiness or artificial flavours – truly embodying the principle of Less is More! The vineyard's average vine age reaches 55 years. Roots extend up to 20 metres underground, drawing the purest natural nutrients. Yields average less than 3,000 litres of grape juice per hectare, resulting in an annual production of just over 5,000 bottles – less than many classified growths.
