Founded in 1846, Dewar's Imperial Visa is a visa brand that inherits classics and glory. As early as 1893, Dewar's Imperial Whisky was certified by the British Royal Family for its outstanding quality, and has won numerous honors to this day.
Dewar Whisky is one of the most awarded blended whiskies in the world, having won over a thousand medals in international competitions. Including *International Spirits Challenge (ISC), San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC), International Whiskey Competition (IWC), Ultimate World Spirits Challenge (USC), International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), all of which are internationally renowned spirits competitions and are important benchmark awards pursued by many wineries.

In 1846, John Dewar founded Dewar’s Scotch Whisky in Perth, Scotland. The logo of Dewar’s Scotch Whisky is three Celtic Knots, which are a symbol of strength and longevity. They also symbolize the three founders of Dewar’s Scotch Whisky, John Dewar and his two sons Tommy Dewar and John Alexander Dewar. Currently, it is one of the famous brands of Bacardi.
John Dewar was born in 1806. As a young man, John worked in a wine and spirits manufacturing company, where he learned wine and whiskey brewing techniques for 17 years. Whiskey was not very popular at the time, and one of the reasons was that you had to bring your own container when buying whiskey. John saw this problem and decided to solve it by asking for the bottle to be as transparent as possible so that the color of the whiskey could be seen. So John started selling “bottled” whiskey, and the “Dewar’s” brand began to gain popularity. “

What really made Dewar Whisky famous was the two sons of the founder John Dewar, who inherited and carried forward the brand, gradually growing it into a leader in Scottish whisky. The brothers inherited Dewar's Whisky after John's death, when the elder brother John Alexander Dewar was 26 years old and the younger brother Tommy Dewar was only 16 years old. The two brothers have completely opposite personalities. The elder brother John is introverted, calm and steady, very interested in politics, and is a typical Scottish gentleman. His younger brother Tommy was an extrovert and very talkative person, so at the age of 33 he was appointed consul in London. The elder brother John is in charge of production, and the younger brother Tommy is in charge of sales. The two brothers work together to give full play to each other's strengths.

Under the control of the two brothers, they began to frequently produce advertisements and participate in various activities. The marketing talent of the younger brother Tommy Dewar began to emerge. He became famous for writing a travel magazine "Around the World". This magazine recorded his travel diary and promoted the brand of Imperial Visa. In this way, the unique marketing perspective pushed Imperial Visa onto the world stage.

In order to obtain a more balanced flavor and smoother taste, John Dewar pioneered the "double aging" brewing process. The secondary aging process is to mix the original liquor used for blending whiskey in a certain proportion, and then put it back into the oak barrel for further aging. Nowadays, secondary aging technology has been used by almost all blended whisky distilleries. The aging time varies depending on the brand. The secondary aging time of Dewar Whisky is at least 6 months. After secondary aging, the sweet and smooth Imperial whisky is ready.
Dewar Whisky's "secondary aging" has long been world-famous. The "Double Double Four-Aging Series" launched in 2019 has taken the entire process to a new peak. The four-aging process is as follows:
First aging: single grain and malt matured separately
Second aging: Grains and malt are blended and matured separately
Third aging: grains and malt are blended and matured together
Fourth aging: barreled in selected sherry barrels for further maturation
The time-consuming and high-cost production process results in an extreme smoothness and fusion that single malt cannot achieve. Won the 2020 IWSC Gold Award, WWA Gold Award, IWC Gold Award...
