Chateau Tailhas is only 11 hectares and belongs to the family-owned winery on the southern slopes of Pomerol. The silty soil mixed with fine gravel can be said to be the traditional characteristic of Pomerol. The average age of the trees is 40 years old, and the grapes are picked by hand. At the end of the winemaking process, it will be aged in new oak barrels for 16 months, and then placed in the cellar for 2 years before being launched on the market, making the quality of the wine more stable and guaranteed!
Pomerol is the smallest of the major wine regions in Bordeaux, with a mere 800 hectares of grape plantings, which is nothing compared to the 5,000 hectares of its neighbor St Emilion, although Well, Pomerol also has well-known wineries, including Petrus, Le Pin, Trotanoy!!
