【FujiKinran】
FujiKinran is a new addition to Japan's whiskey lineup, blended and distilled by Watanabe Kenji, a national treasure-level master distiller. The term “Kinran” in Fuji Kinran refers to the precious golden silk robe, symbolizing noble connotations and aspirations. The uniqueness of this whisky lies in the harmonious blend of three elements: water, casks, and craftsmanship, making it one of the most exceptional whiskies in Japan.
【Water】
FujiKinran uses mountain spring water from 250 meters underground in the Fuji mountain range, filtered through porous volcanic rock, slightly alkaline and rich in minerals, added to the whiskey during production to give it its soul. Upon tasting, it feels as smooth as velvet, with a clear and rich flavor. The superior water source forms the foundation, while also elevating the taste of the whisky, making you feel as though you are standing at the foot of Mount Fuji.
【Barrel】
High-end Japanese whiskeys often use unique Mizunara barrels for aging. Fujikinran is aged in barrels made from Mizunara wood, which is unique to Hokkaido, Japan. Mizunara trees require a 200-year growth cycle to mature and be used for barrel making. Through meticulous distillation processes and a certain aging period, Fujikinran FUJIKINRAN gains subtle sandalwood aromas and oak sweetness, evoking the scent of incense in Japanese temples, adding a touch of Zen-like elegance. Its uniqueness shapes Fujikinran FUJIKINRAN's one-of-a-kind distillation characteristics.
