Galardi is a winery in northwestern Campania, Italy, founded in 1991 by Dora and Maria Luisa with Arturo, Roberto and Francesco. It produces single wines under the Roccamonfina IGT, Terra di Lavoro, using native Italian varieties Aglianico and Piedirosso. The estate consists of approximately 10 hectares (25 acres) of hillside vineyards and volcanic soil. These vineyards are located at about 1,300 feet (400 meters) above sea level and are planted only to Aglianico and Piedirosso. The territory extends into volcanic terrain with great potential, sloping down into the sea. Vineyards and olive groves are set among charming chestnut groves that alternate on the slopes of the Rocca Montfina volcano, providing a unique terroir for the grapes. The estate's production is low - only a few thousand bottles of Terra di Lavoro are produced each year. Terra di Lavoro shows better results in the hot rainy season. Terra di Lavoro 2010 and 2008 represent the best examples produced to date. Terra di Lavoro is characterized by its long-term evolution over time. Terra di Lavoro, meaning place of work, has to do with the difficult growing of fruit from the rocky soil of the estate. Consisting of 80% Aglianico and 20% Piedirosso, this wine is aged for one year in new French oak barrels before being bottled unrefined and filtered.

Since its debut in 1994, Terra di Lavoro has been a huge success with audiences and critics around the world, consistently being named one of the best Italian wines. The vineyards were built on family land in the municipalities of Galluccio and Sessa Orenca in the region, which until the early 1900s was in the province of Tra di Lavolo. The color of the wine is deep and intense. The aromatic panorama ranges from red berries to resinous balsamic notes with spicy peaks. The mineral notes that have always been the backbone of Terra di Lavoro are not to be missed. The tannins are soft and elegant, and the aroma is persistent, very long. The map on the label depicting the Terra di Lavoro label is a 700-year-old map depicting southern Italy during the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.
