ZTF113 - Hubert Lignier Les Seuvrees 2021 Gevrey Chambertin
特價:$695/支

【Vinous 91-93】
The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Seuvrées has quite a backward nose at first with hints of dark chocolate and vanilla infusing the red berry fruit. Floral in style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grip, quite elegant with nicely-pitched acidity, edgy with impressive mineralité on the finish. Recommended - this shows the pedigree of this lieu-dit.
【Burghound 92】
A more deeply pitched and more sauvage-inflected nose is comprised by ripe and fresh aromas of poached plum and cassis. The succulent, energetic and solidly concentrated medium weight flavors coat the palate with sappy dry extract while offering fine depth and persistence on the dusty and balanced finale. This is a very good Gevrey villages and also worth considering.
Domaine Hubert Lignier was established in 1880 when Jacques Lignier, the first generation proprietor, acquired vineyards in the village of Morey-St-Denis at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, thus commencing the winemaking enterprise that has been passed down through generations. Hubert Lignier, representing the fourth generation, is credited with elevating the estate to prominence. Embracing Burgundy's traditional virtues, he steadfastly remained committed to the land beneath his feet even during the most challenging times. Through meticulous, step-by-step expansion, he prepared the estate to meet the future in optimal condition. Today, the estate stands as one of the most respected in Morey Saint Denis, indeed throughout the Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy.
1In 1992, the fifth-generation successor Romain – a prodigy born for winemaking – introduced new techniques to the estate, allowing the wines to express a more natural and pure character. Tragically, Romain passed away prematurely in 2004 from cancer at the age of just 34. Hubert, who had retired by then, was compelled to return to the front line while also recalling his eldest son Laurent to assist at home. Unexpectedly, Romain's wife Kellen insisted on dividing the estate, taking with her part of the Clos de la Roche vineyard and establishing a new estate in the names of their two sons. Fortunately, by 2013, an agreement was gradually reached between the parties, and the estate returned to its original size in 2014. Furthermore, between 2006 and 2013, the estate acquired additional vineyards to compensate for the loss, resulting in a larger vineyard area than before.
The estate is currently co-managed by Hubert Lignier and his eldest son Laurent. It encompasses 9 hectares of vineyards, producing 24 wines including Grand Cru, Premier Cru, and Village-level appellations. Since the 1990s, the estate has resolutely avoided herbicides and insecticides to encourage microbial growth, respect the climate and soil, and maintain balance in the vineyard environment. Since 2011, it has adopted organic farming practices across all vineyards.
產區 Region
Gevrey Chambertin is a highly renowned village within Burgundy's Côte de Nuits region, situated south of Dijon. To its east lies the flat, expansive Saône plain, and it ranks among Burgundy's finest red wine appellations. Among Burgundy's villages, its wines exhibit a full-bodied character, robust structure, deeper colour, and more pronounced oak influence. Consequently, Gevrey-Chambertin is often described as a masculine wine. It is no wonder that Chambertin Grand Cru is hailed as the “King of Wines”, while Musigny Grand Cru is celebrated as the “Queen of Wines”.
