The winery was established back in 1871 in Rutherford, a 151-year-old American Napa winery, Inglenook Scottish means comfortable corner. The first vintage of 1882, the 1941 wine was rated 100 by Wine Spectator 49 years later in 1990, creating one of Napa legends. Francis Ford Coppola, the master of the Godfather series, began to gradually buy it in 1975. In 2011, I finally bought the entire winery and renamed it Inglenook. Although it is already a famous Rutherford winery, there are still several super strong neighbors such as the full score of Dana Estate and the famous BV Beaulieu Vineyard have used grapes from this area. Petrus owner Christian Moueix's winery Dominus Estate Napanook in Napa is made from the vineyards bought by Inglenook, which shows the high quality of the terroir.

The winery has also been staffed by various luminaries, John Daniel, who brewed 1941 full marks, and 1982 winemaking consultant - American wine master Andre Tchelistcheff, by 2011 hired Margaux wine director Philippe Bascaules, although Philippe was hired back to Margaux in 2016, but continued to be a consultant. Even Vinous's owner Antonio Galloni said: Bascaules made Inglenook relevant again. Plus, the owner Francis himself won the Wine Enthusiast Wine Star Lifetime Achievement Award

Rutherford AVA is located in the middle of Napa Valley, the most famous appellation in California, USA. AVA is classified in the United States (similar to DOC) and has corresponding appellation regulations. 85% of a single grape can be sold with a grape name, so this 88% Cabernet Sauvignon Inglenook wine can be sold as Cabernet Sauvignon. Being located in the middle, less affected by the cold air of San Pablo bay on the south side, and not as hot as the northern D production area, everything moderate microclimate so the production area is also one of the concentrations of famous wines.

Using leftover grapes after strict selection of the flagship wine Rubicon, it can be said to be a sub-brand, aged in French barrels for 18 months, 50% new barrels.
