Introduction: Chateau La Couspaude is located on a rocky marl plateau 500 meters outside the center of Saint-Emilion. In 1908, Mr. Jean-Prosper Robin purchased Chateau Gusbode and also owned Chateau Sansonnet, which he later passed on to his son, Mr. Andre-Marcel. Natural disasters and wars in the 20th century affected the winery and prevented it from reaching its best potential. The owner of the winery focuses on Chateau Sansonnet. In 1963, Andre-Marce's daughter Edith Robin became the new owner of Goose Bird Winery. Edith Robin and her husband Etienne Aubert both come from a wine-making family. The couple worked together to run the winery, which was quite successful. In 1996, it was promoted to a Grand Cru Classe in the Saint-Emilion region. Recently, it has been favored by consumers and praised by wine critics. The 7-hectare vineyard produces just 3,000 cases of wine per year. It is hand picked at the best maturity period, fermented in stainless steel containers and aged in 100% new barrels for 16-18 months.
