Chateau de l'Abbaye Giraudon is part of Vignoble Michel Coudroy's Lussac Saint-Emilion estate. The family, which has a history of winemaking in Montagne Saint-Émilion dating back to the 16th century, currently manages 65.3 hectares of vineyards, including 50 hectares in Montagne Saint-Émilion, 7.1 hectares in Lalande de Pomerol, 6.2 hectares in Lussac Saint-Emilion, and an additional 2 hectares in the top-tier Right Bank appellation of Pomerol. The winery adheres to responsible farming practices, meticulously respecting the natural balance between vines and terroir. Temperature control throughout the cellars ensures precise control at every stage of the winemaking process.

【Lussac Saint-Emilion】

Lussac Saint-Emilion is the northernmost satellite appellation, located across the creek from Montagne Saint-Emilion. It covers 1,396 hectares of vineyards and produces approximately 825,000 cases of wine annually. The vineyards here have a complex soil composition: limestone and clay on the gentle slopes, gravel in the valleys, and sand and clay on the plateaus, all with good drainage. Primarily a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, these modern wines are rich, powerful, and elegant. They offer aromas of red fruits such as strawberry, raspberry, and cherry, complemented by hints of liquorice, leather, prunes, and spice. With aging, they develop deeper, wine-like, and even gamey notes.
