An integral member of the Calon Ségur family, the third wine exhibits a freshness and fruitiness geared for immediate enjoyment. It is mainly sourced from the estate’s young vines with a balanced blend made up of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Formerly known as La Chapelle de Calon, then Le Saint-Estèphe de Calon Ségur, it took a new name with Le C de Calon Ségur since the vintage 2019.

Calon Ségur is a top-tier winery (3ème Cru Classé) in the St.-Estèphe region of Bordeaux. It is an ancient estate established as early as the 12th century; Timber crossed the small sailboat on the Gironde River, and Ségur originated from the Marquis of Ségur (Nicolas-Alexandre, marquis de Ségur; 1695–1755), who was known as the "Prince of Wine" in the eighteenth century. At that time, in addition to the winery, he also owned Château Latour, Château Lafite, Château Mouton and other famous gardens! Although he owns so many famous gardens, he said: "I make wine at Lafite and Latour, but my heart is at Calon." Therefore, this heart-shaped symbol is used on the wine label to commemorate this clear sentence.
【The change of the owner is the turning point of the change of the winery】
Under the management of the former owner, Mrs. Denise Gasqueton, the winery’s level has been excellent and stable since the mid-1990s. Especially after entering the 21st century, there have been many years of excellent performance; after the death of Mrs. Gasqueton, in In 2012, the insurance company Suravenir Assurances took over the winery and spent more than 20 million euros to fully update the equipment of the winery: the winery room using gravity flow, stainless steel fermentation tanks of different sizes matching the vineyard blocks, a new tasting room, The replanting of vineyards has greatly improved the quality of the wine, and it is quite exciting to look forward to its future performance.
Until new owners took over, Calon Segur wines were masculine, robust, tannic, structured and traditional in style, with the grandeur of intense St. Estephe wines. The wines of Calon Segur have all been improved and aged exceptionally well. However, the vintage starting in 2014 is clearly the most exciting in the winery's history.
