Ducru-Beaucaillou is a name familiar to many. Situated in Saint Julien, Bordeaux, it holds a Second Growth classification in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification. Its wines embody both power and elegance, representing the quintessence and benchmark of Saint Julien. During the latter half of the 20th century, under the stewardship of the Borie family, the estate produced numerous exceptional vintages, earning acclaim from renowned critics. Consequently, Ducru-Beaucaillou ascended to the ranks of the ‘Super Second Growths’ (wines surpassing many Second Growths in quality, even rivalling First Growths). Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande received a perfect 100 points from Robert Parker in 2009, followed by 98+ points in 2010, and maintained its high standing with 96 points in 2014. It is widely regarded as producing some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon in the world, ensuring that the quality of its wines, across all labels, is beyond question.
