【Chateau Cos d'Estournel 】
Chateau Cos d'Estournel is a prestigious second growth in the village of Saint-Estephe in the Bordeaux region of France. The winery is renowned for the quality of its wines and its unique oriental architecture.
The history of Château d'Estournel dates back to 1791, when Louis Gaspard d'Estournel inherited a piece of land called ‘Cos’ and began to develop his plans for the winery. Located on a gentle rocky slope, ‘Cos’ meaning ‘little rocky hill’ in French, Louis Gaspard had a passion for wine and continued to expand his vineyards, culminating in a second-rate classification in the Médoc in 1855. Second growth in the Médoc classification of 1855

Chateau Cos d'Estournel as vineyards cover 100 hectares near the Gironde estuary. The vineyard is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The vineyard is worked manually and the vineyard management and winemaking techniques are constantly being refined in order to produce wines that fully reflect the terroir of Saint-Estèphe and the winemaking philosophy of Chateau Cos d'Estournel
