With strong Pomerol Style, with raspberry and blackberry fruit aromas in the mouth, silky and smooth, showing excellent freshness. , exudes rich blueberry, undergrowth, violet. There are classic graphite and pencil shavings fragrance. The wine is deep, the texture is heavy, the minerality gradually increases, and the mid-palate taste is excellent.

【James Suckling 99pts】

So ethereal and great on the nose withglorious fresh flowers, such as violets, together with black olives. Darkberries, too. But the archetypal Pomerol nose. Full-bodied yet, at the sametime, so refined and structured. Glorious tannin tension and focus. Vibrantfinish. Shows energy and focus.

【Chateau L'Evangile Winery】

Chateau L'Evangile is one of the famous wineries in the Pomerol region of Bordeaux, France. It is close to Petrus, Vieux ChateauCertan and Conse. Chateau La Conseillante and Chateau Cherval Blanc, etc.

In the mid-18th century, Chateau Le Wangi was owned by the Leglise family in Libourne. The land management book of 1741 also records the name of the winery at that time - "Fazilleau". At the beginning of the 19th century, the winery was bought by a lawyer named Isambert and renamed "Château Le Wangji". Evangile means "gospel" in French, and the renamed winery lives up to its name and has become a veritable "gospel" in the Pomerol region.

In 1862, Paul Chaperon acquired Chateau Le Wangi and made it famous throughout the world through a series of efforts, giving the winery a unique Second Empire-style architectural style. In the second edition of Cocks Et Feret in 1868, Chateau Le Wangi was listed as a Premier Cru in the Haut-Pomerol region. After Chaberon's death, his daughter inherited the winery, and then she brought the winery into her husband's Ducasse family, which was in charge of the winery until 1990.

In 1990, the winery was acquired by Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite. After the group took over Le Wangji Winery, it immediately began to carry out all-round reforms and improvements to the winery. Initial measures included a more careful selection of the grapes used to make the main wine and the creation of Blason de L’Evangile as the chateau’s second wine. In addition, the rectification measures also include a series of plans: delay the grape harvest period as much as possible to make the grapes as mature as possible, and try to control the yield to no more than 4,500 liters per hectare to improve the quality of the grape plants. This plan was partially implemented in 1998 Finish. In 2004, the winery and cellar underwent renovations, and a new layout of the winery was born. The years 1995 to 2005 were a decade of remarkable achievements. The wines produced by Le Wangji Winery in these years were of excellent quality, especially in 1995, 1996, 2000 and 2005.

The geographical location of Le Wangji Winery can be said to be unique. Baron Eric de Rothschild once said: "We can't resist this extraordinary and unique land. Although it is completely different from the Medoc (Medoc), it is absolutely outstanding!" There is a very long stretch of gravel land in the southeast of the Meihou Highlands. This precious land is shared by three wineries, including Le Wangji Winery. Chateau Le Wangi occupies a very strategic location, adjacent to the vineyards of Chateau Petrus to the north, and only a secondary road separates it from Chateau Cheval Blanc in the Saint-Emilion region to the south. Currently, the winery’s vineyards cover an area of 22 hectares. The soil is sandy clay and gravel, and the subsoil is high in iron. The garden is planted with 80% Merlot and the remaining 20% Cabernet Franc. The former can give the wine a fruity aroma, rich body and unparalleled smoothness, while the latter can bring fineness to the wine. characteristics and excellent structure. The vineyard's output is limited, and harvesting and many other tasks are all done manually. The winery hired the famous "flying winemaker" Michel Rolland as a winemaking consultant.
