ZF201- Lou Dumont Blanc De Blancs Cremant de Bourgogne NV
$198/btl

Lou Dumont Winery was founded by Japanese Koji Nakata and his Korean wife in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Bourgogne, France in 2000, and later moved to Gevrey-Chambertin. Mr. Nakata, who is very popular in Japan and is known as the "Godfather of Burgundy Wine in Japan", was born in Okayama between Hiroshima and Osaka. Mr. Nakata was originally a sommelier in a French restaurant in Japan, Due to his love for Burgundy wine, he decided to give up his job and go to Burgundy to learn winemaking and grape planting.
The Crémant de Bourgogne wine label should be Koji Nakata's most interesting wine label. Original design is made by wine bottle foil from difference wineries. Remember to appreciate his wine label while tasting.

Crémant de Bourgogne is a sparkling wine produced in the Burgundy region using the traditional method. It is mainly made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, but other white and red grape varieties such as Aligoté and Gamay can also be used. Crémant de Bourgogne received AOC recognition in 1975, but its traditional sparkling winemaking history can be traced back to the 17th century.

Founded in 2000, Nakata Koji produces about 70 barrels (about 20,000 bottles) a year. It is known for its hand-made brewing and focuses on the characteristics of each wine.
Cremant, a good choice other than Champagne, is also brewed using the traditional method (secondary fermentation in the bottle), but the price is surprisingly affordable~
