The "GI" = Geographical Indication System is a structure in which the country registers and protects special products including the name of the place of origin as regional brands, and is expected to ensure quality and further expand sales.
Plum wines that are certified as GI use plums produced in the prefecture as raw materials, and the production method of pickled plums in the prefecture, chemical elements, etc., and meet the standards are certified and can be sold as "GI Wakayama Umeshu".
Nakata Foods will continue to work hard to popularize "Wakayama Umeshu" and improve its brand in the future.

Using "Nanko Ume", a local specialty, as the main brewing ingredient, it uses the technology of brewing wine to brew high-quality plum wine. After brewing, it is stored and matured in high-quality small oak barrels in France for more than one year to ensure that the aroma and style reach the required level, and then bottled and sold as original wine.
