Founded in 1897 by Gentaro Nakata in Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture, southern Japan, the company is now a leading Japanese plum producer, specializing in whole-wine umeboshi (salted plums) and umeshu (plum wine). The company meticulously hand-picks, washes, salts, and sorts all plums, meticulously treating each plum and each product with care. Its ISO-compliant production line, with rigorous quality control from farmers to bottling plants, ensures that each bottle achieves impeccable flavor and nutritional standards.
