2012 Saint Emilion Grand Cru remains remarkably robust.

Poured, it still displays a ruby hue – quite surprising for a 2012 vintage. It bears little resemblance to typical 2012 wines, retaining considerable strength and vigour.

The red fruit notes are wonderfully fresh, with hints of Pu'er tea aroma, licorice and dried fruit. It packs a punch on the palate. The tannins feel powdery in the mouth – incredibly soft and comfortable.

The lingering sweetness is exceptionally high, with tea and smoky notes persisting long after the finish.

Region/Grade: France / Bordeaux / Saint Emilion Grand Cru

Grape Varieties: 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc

Alcohol content: 13.5%

Pavillons De Faurie is the second brand of Faurie De Souchard under the famous Saint-Emilion wine group Dassault Wine Estates. , with notes of red fruits, liquorice and smoky spices. On the palate it is full-bodied, well-structured, with firm and well-integrated tannins. Fruity, rich, complex and layered, with good aging potential.

【Chateau Faurie de Souchard】

Faurie de Souchard was formerly Chateau Petit Faurie de Souchard built in 1851. It is currently one of the wineries owned by Dassault Wine Estates. The wineries under the group also include Chateau La Fleur and Chateau Dassault, which belong to the famous family of Saint Emilion. The soil is mainly sandy and clay. The winery is committed to producing high-quality wines. The winery will only harvest fully ripe grapes, and the wine will be fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in 75% new French barrels and 25% old barrels for 14-16 months. The winery is also one of the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classe.
