Taylors 10-year-old Tawny Port is fully matured in 360-liter toasted oak barrels. After more than ten years of aging, the color of the wine gradually turns to tawny, and as it ages, it produces the signature mellow, complex flavor and sweet and smooth taste of tawny Port. Taylors 10-year-old Tawny Port has a rich, elegant aroma of mature berries and delicate chocolate, butterscotch, and the sweetness of high-quality oak, which is fascinating! You can feel the smooth silky taste when you put it in your mouth, and the full fig jam overflows your mouth, and the beautiful aftertaste lingers for a long time.

(Please note: Some old Port bottles will have white oil marks on the front, and there will be some sediment in the bottle, which is normal.) Therefore, it is recommended that when drinking Port wine in the wine cabinet, the side with the wine label and white splash mark should face up, and it should be placed upright 1-2 days before drinking to allow the sediment to sink to the bottom of the bottle in advance.

It is my opinion that Taylor's tawny ports are the best of their type. When tasted against other tawnys, they all exhibit more aromatic personalities, greater fruit and ripeness, and a wonderful sweetness and length. The Ten Year Old Tawny is a personal favorite, as well as the best bargain among these ports.

【Taylor' s - Taylor Winery】
Taylor' s is located in the Douro Valley of Portugal. It has a history of more than 300 years and is one of the oldest port wine companies. It is fully committed to the production of port wine and is world-famous for its legendary vintage port wine.

Well-known wine critic Robert Parker once described Taylor's as the Chateau Latour of the port world! Taylor's is regarded as the benchmark of Vintage Port. Its representative work is Vintage Port, which has won numerous honors and is famous for its elegance, grace, restrained power and longevity. Even Parker has a special liking for it. Parker's book "The Complete Book of the World's Top Wines and Wineries" only includes 3 Portuguese wineries, and Taylor is one of them. In the book, Parker wrote: "Taylor's wine is the most expensive vintage port, and the reasons are very obvious. First, these vintage ports have longevity; second, they all have excellent complexity and richness." Among them, the 1992 and 1948 Vintage Ports both received a full score of 100 points from Robert Parker!


The winery was first founded by Job Bearsley in 1692. When Job Bearsley was in charge of Taylor's Winery, he rarely involved in the port wine trade. It was Job's son Peter who officially developed the port wine trade into a company trade field. Later, Peter turned this trade to the Oporto area, and now the Oporto area has become the central trading area for port wine. In 1709, Peter began exporting large quantities of port wine to the Douro, and is considered the first Englishman to explore the Douro region. Exploring a foreign and distant wine export market was difficult, but fortunately, Peter's exploration was quite successful.

In the late 18th century, the Beardsley family abandoned the port trade, and less familiar companies such as Webb, Sandford, Grey and Camo had the opportunity to temporarily become the leaders of this trade. In 1816, Joseph Taylor joined the company and changed the name to Campbell Bowden & Taylor. Later, for various reasons, the names of Campbell and Bowden were no longer popular, and the company was uncontroversially changed to Taylor. With the arrival of John Fladgate in 1837 and Morgan Yeatman in 1844, the company became known as Taylor Fladgate & Yeatman, now shortened to Taylor's.


Taylor's has been family-run for many years, owning its own vineyards and buying grapes from growers who have worked with it for generations. The grapes used for the company's finest Port wines come from the steep and rocky slopes of the Douro Valley, where grapes have been grown since Roman times. In its fourth century, Taylor's is considered one of the world's finest Port wine companies, with its products sold in 54 countries around the world.

Taylor's consists of three farm estates with their own vineyards in the Douro region, namely Quinta de Vargellas, Quinta de Terra Feita and Quinta do Junco. "Quinta de Vargellas" is very famous in the Douro wine region, considered the best port wine producing area since the 1820s, and now it ranks among the top vineyards in the world. The port wine produced here is elegant and fine, known for its complex fruits, unique aromas and perfectly integrated tannins.
