Umegae Shuzo
It was founded in 1787, in the middle of the Edo period, during the reign of the 11th Shogun, Iensei, and was named after Junjin Omura, the lord of the Omura domain. Blessed with a rich natural environment and a renowned water source that comes from 300 metres below ground, every step of the process, from rice to sake, has been handmade for over 200 years. During this time, it has received numerous awards, including the Gold Medal in the National New Sake Certification and the Excellence Award for six consecutive years in the Fukuoka Local Taxation Bureau's certification, and the Gold Medal in the category of authentic shochu.

The use of grapefruit peel and the grinding of the pulp makes it seem as if you are enjoying the whole grapefruit, and the use of grapefruit peel adds a little bit of acidity to the sweetness of the grapefruit itself. This tartness does not affect the sweetness or the flavour of the wine, but adds a refreshing taste to it.
