The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino opens to dried cassis and cranberry, and there is a hint of something floral and fragile, like crushed red rose petals or potpourri. However, the wine also shows growing momentum, especially as it opens in the glass and you start to recognize dark spice, clove, bay leaf and thyme. There is a point of sweetness on the mid-palate, even some dried raspberry, rendering an overall more accessible wine. Compared to the brilliant fruit in the Filo di Seta, this village wine has drier notes with hints of daisy greens and dried currant.

Castello Romitorio酒莊命名來自十二世紀起,就於Montalcino產區西北邊,雄偉矗立於高坡處的同名古堡,1984年由意大利知名前衛派畫家Sandro Chia購入後,重新修復城堡古蹟、開耕葡萄園與建立酒莊。Castello Romitorio酒莊釀酒風格創新中卻又保留屬於Montalcino產區的風土滋味。釀酒顧問Carlo Ferrini曾於Ricasoli、Casanova diNeri、Ruffino等同區的頂尖酒莊服務,深知當地品種特性,善於將其純粹的風味完美表現,是專精於Sangiovese的專家,也是Wine Enthusiast雜誌票選為2007年度的釀酒師。這支年產量僅約十五萬支的精緻紅酒,每款佳釀皆有Sandro Chia的知名畫作,並與其酒款風格所互相輝映的獨特藝術酒標。旗艦酒款Brunellodi Montalcino Riserva已多次榮獲WS、WA、James Suckling等國際酒評媒體95分以上的高分讚譽,搭配獨有藝術酒標,珍藏價值頗高,每年配額總是供不應求



葡萄園海拔範圍從450公尺的羅馬托里奧山頂一直延伸到200公尺。每個細節都經過精心構思,每塊土地都種植最適合這片土壤的桑嬌維塞克隆苗。菲利普·基亞的目標是從葡萄園開始,從土壤開始,在釀酒的各個方面啟動一個更新和復興的過程。 2020年3月,向有機農業的過渡正式開始,葡萄園將於2023年3月獲得認證。而以前這片無人涉足的土地,是從幾個世紀前的霍爾姆橡樹林中開闢出來的,荒廢了幾十年。在這片以極大的耐心和奉獻精神開墾出來的與世隔絕的荒野中,葡萄與充滿狼、鹿、喜鵲、狐狸和野豬的樹林共存。迷人的極端環境賦予葡萄酒健康的品質,優雅與力量、力量與新鮮之間的平衡。



採收及葡萄在去梗前後都是⼈⼯分揀在不銹鋼槽中進⾏發酵,約15-20⼩時的短暫的冷浸漬(低於20℃)。然後在更⾼的控制溫度下浸⽪20天。之後⾃然發⽣蘋果酸-乳酸發酵,持續約10天。橡⽊桶中熟成約24個⽉,裝瓶後在Castello Romitorio的溫控酒窖中再陳釀約24個月
