品酒筆記: 係一款經典風格的Saint Emilion酒, 聞落有雪茄、煙草的氣息, 入口有紫蘿蘭的花香, 黑布冧、黑醋栗的果香味道, 酒體中等至厚身, 單寧結實, 尾段帶點甘草和辛辣, 餘韻回甘悠長而且相當細緻, 口感平衡。

Chateau Canon la Gaffeliere 位於法國波爾多（Bordeaux）聖埃美隆（Saint-Emilion）中世紀村莊南部的山丘及山坡腳下。酒莊的歷史可追溯至17世紀，它曾被稱為“Canon Boitrd”和“La Gaffeliere-Boitard”。到19世紀，為使酒莊名簡單易記，兩個名字合併為Chateau Canon La Gaffeliere。1971年， Joseph Hubert von Neipperg 伯爵購買了該酒莊，von Neipperg 家族是神聖羅馬帝國的貴族。數世紀以來，該家族一直養育著勇猛善戰的將軍和頗具交際手腕的外交官。自20世紀以來，該家族開始對葡萄園頗感興趣。直到今天，vonNeipperg家族依舊是Chateau Canon la Gaffeliere的所有者，現任莊主Stephan von Neipperg。

Chateau Canon la Gaffeliere 與 Chateau la Gaffeliere，歷史上“同根同源”本屬一個酒莊，19世紀未，最初酒莊被一分為二，其中一部分經過衍變發展成為了今天的 Chateau Canon la Gaffeliere，而另一塊就發展成為今天的Chateau la Gaffeliere。

作為擁有800多年傳統葡萄種植、葡萄酒釀制歷史的傳人，並且才能出眾的Stephan von Neipperg帶領下，令葡萄園出產的葡萄酒品質得到快速提升，2012年Chateau Canon la Gaffeliere被評為聖埃美隆列級一級特等酒莊B級（Premiers Grands Crus Classes B），目前Premiers Grands Crus Classes 總共才18家酒莊而已，可以說是精英中的精英酒莊。

葡萄園位於朝南的坡地上。葡萄種植面積為19.5公頃，黏土石灰岩與沙質黏土使得土地性質複雜而獨特。就土壤表層而言，愈遠離坡底，土壤中的沙質成分愈顯著。葡萄樹的平均樹齡為50年。雖說梅洛（Merlot）是右岸葡萄品種之王，但由於園內土壤的排水性非常好，且能夠較好地保存熱量，對品麗珠（Cabernet Franc）和赤霞珠（Cabernet Sauvignon）的生長極為有利，因此酒莊根據實際情況確定了葡萄園內的種植比例為50%梅洛、40%品麗珠以及10%赤霞珠。這三個品種混釀既不會掩蓋梅洛柔順而飽滿的風采，還能為酒款增添精緻而複雜的香氣以及強勁的力道，共同造就 Chateau Canon la Gaffeliere 葡萄酒複雜、優雅而細膩的特質。此外，秉著崇尚風土的理念，Chateau Canon la Gaffeliere 從 1988年起開始在園內推行有機種植模式，深入研究土壤並針對不同風土採用最適合的種植技術，以促進生態系統的自我保護。經過他們的不懈努力，Chateau Canon la Gaffeliere 於2014年獲得有機認證，走在聖埃美隆列級莊的前列。

Porcini mushrooms, with dark and ripe fruits. Turns to licorice and violets. Full body, with round and soft tannins and a long delicious finish. The texture is gorgeous. So much going on in the glass. Try after 2018.

Medium to deep garnet colored, the 2009 Canon la Gaffeliere leaps from the glass with bold baked blackberries, plum preserves and blueberry compote notes with nuances of licorice, sweaty leather, tapenade and garrigue. It is quite mature and open in the medium-bodied mouth, with a firm, chewy frame and lively backbone, finishing with loads of savory/meaty layers.
