Capacity: 700ml

Maturation: Malt whisky and grain whisky aged for three years in shochu barrels, followed by two years in Spanish sherry barrels and two years in bourbon barrels.

Alcohol content: 40%

Akashi whisky is the only whisky in the world that is made by a Toji (grand-master in the art of sake making) by implementing sake-making methodologies into the whisky making process. The distilled pot used is smaller than those used by both Scottish and other Japanese distilleries, which in turn, decreases the levels of fusel alcohol. As a result, Akashi whisky does not require as long of an aging process, while its new make is smooth and delicate.

Nose: Orange peels, honey and white pepper, spices.

Palate: Peppery, citrus, cinnamon , hints of smoky flavors.

Finish: Long finish with hints of spicy and sweet finish.

There are only 8 Japanese whisky distilleries in Japan, and Ei Shuzo was established in 1888 in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture. Since its establishment in 1888, Ei Shuzo has been brewing sake and shochu. It obtained a whisky manufacturing license in 1919, becoming the first brewery in Japan to obtain a whisky license. Jiangjing Shuzo established the White Oak Distillery in 1984. The White Oak Distillery specializes in producing whiskey. All whiskeys produced from white oak are called "Akashi". They mainly produce blended whiskeys but also have a certain amount of single malt whiskey. Jiangjing Brewery has a total of 7 warehouses, No. 2 is the Akashi whisky warehouse, which contains. Solid walls with a few windows maintain the optimal temperature and humidity for brewing, allowing Akashi whisky to mature in the best environment.
