Denis Dubourdieu owns several wineries, and Chateau Reynon is his and his wife’s love nest from their marriage until his four decades away. Looking at the design of the wine label, it seems that I have felt the tenderness and sweetness between the two couples, the "softness" comes from more than 80% of Merlot, not strong, delicate and lasting.

Restructuring of the vineyard began in 1988. Low-density viticulture in the late 1950s was gradually replanted to 5500 vines per hectare. This transformation brings the extraordinary potential of clay terroir to Reynon’s red wines. A decade later, with the success of the 1998 vintage, Reynon’s red wines are firmly among the best in Bordeaux. In Reynon, the age-old tradition of growing grape vines on the slopes of the right bank has been revived. By 1996, astonishing and impressive Cadillac sweet white wines were produced when the vintage favored the growth of the noble rot. Its preciousness lies in the fact that it is mainly made of Sauvignon Blanc varieties, forming the distinctive characteristics of this sweet wine. The winery covers 27.5 hectares, with 19 hectares planted with red grapes and 8.5 hectares planted with white grapes, with an average tree age of 23 years and a production of approximately 50 000 bottles per year.

Denis's winemaking concept never advocates overripe grapes. When brewing Reynon's red wine, he refuses to hang grapes on the vine until overripe and seriously imbalanced. Denis's research on Merlot is even more thorough The home pursues the taste, but overcooked and at the same time conducive to the development of a kind of Brettanomyces, and so Brettanomyces is bringing unpleasant animal odors ... for some customers is acceptable, but for Denis he requires that the wine is dry and clean, can not exist any Brettanomyces. This pursuit of the delicacy and freshness of red wine runs counter to the rich, thick and big philosophy that today's market aspires to. His vision shocked the hearts of many owners, which explains why even top wineries such as Cheval Blanc, Pichon Lalande and Haut Bailly are hiring him as their chief consultant for brewing red wine.
