Beppe Marino Winery was founded in 1972. It is a family winery owned by Beppe Marino, his wife Rosalba and their son Maurizio. It is located between Langhe & Monferrato in Santo Stefano Belbo, which is rooted in Piedmont. It is a typical production area of the famous Moscato d'Asti.
The winery uses organic planting methods when growing grapes, and there are many small beetles nearby. Therefore, the winery chose an insect as its iconic logo to show the biodiversity of Organic organic planting. At the same time, although the winery has the most advanced winemaking techniques, but still produce wine here according to ancient traditions to ensure the highest quality product for consumers. The wine produced on the farm comes from local vines: Barbera d'Asti, Dolcetto d'Alba, Moscato d'Asti. These grapes, through different and specific vinification methods, produce the excellent wine that goes by the name of Beppe Marino, now well known and appreciated in Italy and abroad. The winery seeks high quality in its wines while respecting nature.
15 hectares of excellent vineyards are spread over prestigious viticultural sites, giving birth to wines that are well known and appreciated in Italy and abroad. Courage, entrepreneurial spirit and love for challenges: this is the secret to passing the baton from generation to generation.
A long tradition and deep passion unite Beppe Marino and his family in the ranks of the mountains and the charm of the winery.
The concrete sign emphasizes the company's roots: large farms, vineyards and technically perfect wineries.
In 2016, the company moved production to the historic convent of Santo Stefano Belbo "Moscato Sisters", which belongs to the Daughters of Saint Joseph. For more than a hundred years, the nuns have specialized here in the production of large quantities of wine for the Eucharist.
The convent of the Daughters of Saint Joseph, also known as the "Convent of the Sisters of White Wine", is a symbol of the Belbo Valley, a place where spiritual traditions and wine culture merge.
In 1906, a group of nuns moved to Santo Stefano Berbo and continued the production of "Moscato da Mesa", a sweet white wine that priests throughout Italy requested when conducting liturgies
The current production site of the winery is the historic convent of the nuns of St. Joseph, a valuable heritage on our territory. The building has been closed for many years, but thanks to the Marino family, wine remains the undisputed protagonist of the convent, which now has modern production facilities in a spiritual place marked by peace and tranquility, making it a little paradise on earth.
Organic grape growing. Biodiversity: Organic grapes are wines that have obtained the agricultural certification "Organic Grape Making". The grapes come from organic vineyards or are grown using organic methods. No chemical fertilizers/herbicides/fungicides/pesticides are used, and natural substances are used as fertilizer. Prominent organic and natural nature of brewing raw materials.
And "biodiversity" is also an important part of organic farming. Ground covers do to the soil what skin does to the body: they protect the soil and provide biodiversity. Biodiversity is not an end goal, but a strategy on which entire living systems are built. The vines co-exist year-round with cover crops, which are specifically designed for each parcel of land based on vine vigor, density and soil type, so it’s easy to see different species of flowers and plants throughout the vineyard! .
