【Reguta】

Chateau Reguta was founded in 1928 by Ettore, who passed on his experience to his descendants and cultivated the land with a great sense of belonging. In this area of the province of Udine, near the Friuli Riviera, ideal territory is found, so much so that it is the production area of excellent Friuli DOC wines. Until now, Giuseppe and Luigi Anselmi are responsible for running the Reguta winery~

It currently has 250 hectares of vineyards. Since it is close to the sea and blown by the sea breeze, it is mainly clay soil rich in mineral salts. Two different local grape varieties are planted in it, such as Refoscodal peduncolo rosso, Fruulano, Pignolo, and RibollaGialla. or Verduzzo, etc., but also international varieties such as Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery is one of the main producers and bottlers of Friuli-Venezia Giulia Prosecco DOC Spumante wine.

The Friuli-Venezia Giulia production area in the northeastern corner of Italy borders Austria to the north and the mountains on the Slovenian border to the east.

Of the 18 million cases of wine produced in 2020, liquor accounted for 76%

Our grandfather Giuseppe founded the company in the Verona region at the end of the 1920s, dedicated to the cultivation of vineyards and orchards. The annual vinification output from these grapes reaches 2,000 liters.

In 2009, we passionately decided to commit ourselves to opening our own agritourism business. In carefully selected and well-equipped rooms we have the opportunity to offer our wines to a growing number of enthusiasts, while in the adjoining and lovingly renovated farmhouse our 10 rooms offer warm hospitality.

The terrain of Friuli Grave is relatively flat, and the yield is the highest in the region. It mainly produces fruity and fragrant grapes. Most are bottled from a single variety, while the more advanced ones use blends to add complexity. In recent years, winemakers have begun to use wooden barrels for aging. The best quality wines come from the Collio and Colli Orientali production areas, including the thicker wine of the native Tocani Friulano and the precious sweet wine made by Picolit. There are also PinotBianco, PinotGrigio, Gewurztraminer, Riesling and Chardonnay imported from abroad.

According to statistics, the red wine of Friuli-Venezia Giulia accounts for about 30% of the total production, and most of the so-called international varieties with a wider planting area include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet franc and pinot nero, in addition to a small number of native varieties, including pignolo, schioppettino, refosco, tazzelenghe, terrano
