The 2014 Amour, a new Médoc property for this writer, has a pleasant nose of black fruit, briary and cedar aromas that gently unfolds from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet, but not saccharine entry. The tannins feel saturated but that is counterbalanced by a neat line of acidity and a gently caressing finish that wins you over. Will you fall in love with this Cru Bourgeois? Quite possibly.

The wine is soft and ripe. Generous blackberry fruits and a smooth texture from wood aging give this wine its richness and open character. Hints of vanilla and spice add to the perfumed aftertaste.
