Cloudy Bay Winery can be said to be the classic winery that made New Zealand's Sauvignon Blanc famous. It was founded in 1985 by David Hohnen, the founder of Australia's Cape Mentelle Winery. Both Cloudy Bay Winery and Cape Mentelle Winery aim to produce wines that are unique and can showcase the local style. 酒所用的葡萄由機器採收,榨汁後葡萄汁會靜放48小時,之後葡萄汁會在不銹鋼酒槽中發酵,並與酵母殘渣接觸2個月,最後才混合裝瓶。
這款葡萄酒有層次豐富的水果香氣,包括芒果和柳橙等,口感豐滿又不乏清新。除了最出名的長相思,酒莊其實也做很多其他葡萄品種,例如夏多內、黑皮諾等。
