酒莊 Winery

酒莊早喺1871年喺Rutherford成立，係有151年歷史嘅美國Napa酒莊，Inglenook蘇格蘭文解舒服嘅角落。 1882第一個年份，1941年酒喺49年後嘅1990年被Wine Spectator評100分，造就其中一個Napa傳奇。教父系列大導Francis Ford Coppola喺1975開始逐漸買入，一開始未買到酒莊商標名，只可以Niebaum-Coppola Estate Winery做莊名。喺2011年終於買哂成個酒莊，正名返做Inglenook。雖然本身已經係Rutherford名莊，但都仲有幾個超強鄰居例如滿分嘅Dana Estate同出哂名嘅BV Beaulieu Vineyard都曾經用呢區嘅葡萄，Petrus莊主Christian Moueix喺Napa嘅酒莊Dominus Estate Napanook就係用Inglenook買返嚟嘅葡萄園做，可見風土嘅高質。

酒莊亦一路有唔同猛人坐陣，釀造1941年滿分酒嘅John Daniel, 1982年嘅釀酒顧問 - 美國酒一代大師Andre Tchelistcheff, 到2011年請到Margaux釀酒總監Philippe Bascaules主理，雖然2016年Philippe被請返Margaux, 但都為Inglenook繼續做顧問。連Vinous嘅主人Antonio Galloni都話: Bascaules made Inglenook relevant again. 加上莊主Francis本身都拎到Wine Enthusiast Wine Star Lifetime Achievement Award 2019去肯定佢嘅貢獻。

產區 Region

Rutherford AVA喺美國加洲最出名產區Napa Valley嘅中間位置，AVA係美國嘅產區分級(類似DOC)，亦有相應嘅產區規定，有85%單一葡萄就可以標葡萄名出售，所以呢款88% Cabernet Sauvignon嘅Inglenook酒標上可以標做Cabernet Sauvignon賣。由於位於中間位置，比較少受到南邊San Pablo bay嘅冷空氣影響，亦無北啲嘅產區咁熱，所有嘢適中嘅微氣候所以產區亦係名酒嘅其中一個集中地。

用上旗艦酒Rubicon嚴格精選後用剩嘅葡萄，可以話係副牌，法國桶陳熟18個月，50%新桶。

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is rich and boisterous in feel, with good energy and terrific balance for the year.Sweet floral notes, blood orange and spice add shades of nuance to a core of dark red berry fruit. More thananything else, though, l am very pleasantly surprised by the wine's freshness and overall energy.

Wine Advocate 88-90 pts

A barrel sample blended of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals scents of dried roses, kirsch and black cherries with touches of bay leaves and fallen leaves. Medium-bodied with bright red and black fruits and a chewy backbone, it finishes with a lively herbal lift. 7,440 cases are estimated to be made.
