In the winemaking process, tradition and modernity are combined. After the grapes are picked, they will be screened first, and only the most mature grapes can be used for winemaking. The grapes were then put into two open winemaking vessels for fermentation, then into oak barrels for malolactic fermentation, and finally into oak barrels for 18 months of aging. The oak barrels used are all new and replaced every 9 months. Chateau de Valandraud and Chateau de Valandraud Blanc are the official wines of the winery. Blanc de Valandraud is its second wine. Both are the work of the winery owner’s wife, with an annual production of no more than 6,000 bottles.
Flavor: It has the aroma of almond, thyme and clove, as well as the fruity aroma of guava, lemon and green apple. Aged for 9 months, the wine has a hint of gravel, nutty flavor and lemongrass freshness at the end. The wine is medium-bodied.
