建於18世紀，當時名為Domaine de Lagraviere,到18世紀末，酒莊被Malartic家族收購，Malartic家族內有一個成員是法國海軍上將，這位海軍上將曾在英法戰爭，特別是1756年的戰役中立下赫赫戰功。 1850年，Madame Arnaud Ricard購買了這座酒莊。她為了紀念Malartic將軍和Malartic家族，將Malartic這個名稱加到了酒莊名中，從此Chateau Malartic-Lagraviere代替了原來的酒莊名，並一直沿用至今，而且酒瓶上還以風帆戰船圖片作為酒標。
直至1990年以前，Malartic酒莊一直由 Ricard 家族掌管。 1901年，酒莊傳給了Angele Ricard，隨後又傳給了孫女Simone，Simone尼隨後嫁給了酒莊的經理Jacques Marly。在1947至1990年間一直管理著Malartic酒莊，是Ricard家族最後一位經營這座酒莊的後人。在1990年，Malartic酒莊被出售給Perrier家族。在購下Malartic酒莊之後的7年內，Perrier家族並沒對其做太多的改變。 1996年末，酒莊再次轉手，此次接管的是一對比利時夫婦Alfred-Alexandre Bonnie和Michele Bonnie。隨著Bonnie家族的加入，酒莊在資金充裕的條件下進行了進一步的革新，葡萄園面積比原來上升一倍，釀酒設備亦全部更換為現代化設備。酒莊目前還聘請了優秀的釀酒顧問Michel Rolland和Athanase Fakorellis在酒莊工作。
Malartic酒莊擁有當地極具代表性的土壤。來源於第四季冰川時代的深厚的沙礫層，在沙礫層之下為石灰岩底層土壤，帶有遠古的貝殼與海洋生物化石，同時還有一小部分黏土。酒莊擁有53公頃葡萄園。與其他格拉夫酒莊一樣，酒莊亦劃分出一小塊7公頃的土地種植白葡萄，其他的則種植紅葡萄。白葡萄的種植比例為80% sauvignon blanc 和20% Semillon 。紅葡萄的種植比例為45% Cabernet Sauvignon、45% Merlot 和2% Petit Verdot 及8% Cabernet franc 。
在釀造方面，酒莊毫不例外地採用全人工作業，葡萄經人手採摘之後，放入大桶中發酵。新莊主Bonnie家族對酒莊進行了新一輪的投資與擴建，並由Bernard Mazieres設計，建立了新的發酵室與酒窖，安置了發酵所需的20個不銹鋼發酵罐與10個橡木發酵罐，所有發酵過程的溫度都需嚴格控制。經過酒精發酵及混合後，紅葡萄酒在橡木桶中進行陳釀，每年用50-70%的新桶，橡木桶熟成期需要22個月。白葡萄酒每年用40-60%的新桶，橡木桶熟成期需要15個月。裝瓶前，需要使用蛋清來澄清。
與部分Graves酒莊一樣，Malartic 酒莊的白葡萄酒一直以來有著比紅葡萄酒更高的評價，無論正牌酒還是副牌酒，酒莊均釀造相應的白葡萄酒，不管白葡萄酒還是紅葡萄酒，它們都有著上乘的的質量。這裡也生產Le Rose de Malartic，主要由65%%的Merlot 、30%的Cabernet Sauvignon和5%的Cabernet Franc混合釀造。需要注意的是，自2007年以後酒莊更改了自己副牌酒的名稱，由原來的Le Sillage de Malartic變為現在的La Reserve de Malartic

It has a crisp, vibrant, quite minerallybouquet, cold limestone and subtle patisserie/almost whipped cream-like scents.The palate is very well defined with a crisp line of acidity, citrus lemon andlime fanning out with confidence on the finish that completes one of the bestMalartic-Lagravière whites that I have encountered at this stage.

The 2018 Malartic-Lagraviere Blanc offers a good bit of precision to play off the natural radiance of the year. Lemo confit, marzipan, dried flowers and crushed rocks are all laced together in this super-expressive white. Bright saline underpinnings lend energy and drive. This is very nicely done.

The 2018 Malartic Lagraviere 2018 Blanc is a blend of 90% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Sémillon. It was fermented in oak barrels, 55% new. It opens with alluring scents of fresh pears, Golden Delicious apples and juicy peaches, followed by hints of nutmeg, dill seed and honeysuckle. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers bags of apple and stone fruit flavors with a racy line and oily suggestion to the texture, finishing on a lingering spicy note.

初聞時純淨而清透的香氣很小家碧玉，但入口之後秒變女王。甜橙、柚子皮以及橘子醬的芬芳集中而強 勁，帶著獨特的“海洋性礦物感”。雖然是100%橡木桶發酵，並且全新桶的比例高達55%，但烤制化香 氣非常平衡，口中若隱若現的烤榛子、炒瓜子在蜂蜜柚子茶的烘托下顯得層次更加分明。Malartic Lagravière 2018這種欲揚先抑和層層遞進的感覺很符合國人的審美，我也尤為偏愛。

2018年是Pessac-Léognan產區大放異彩的一年, 在WINE SPEACTATOR 得到了 96分高分, 是近年除了2016絕頂靚年份以外, 另一個高評分年份, 甚至JAMES SUCKLING 評2016年Pessac-Léognan都給予了很高的評價 : 「Aromas of apricot, passion fruit, lemon pie and custard. Crushed stones, fennel and cloves, too. It’s full-bodied with bright acidity and a layered, creamy texture. Long, rounded and mineral finish. Very tight and structured. 」
